Pizza Hut Pizza Card Membership Scheme Terms and Conditions (“Terms of Use”)
 

1. General Terms 

1.1 The Pizza Card Membership Scheme (“Membership Scheme” or “Membership”) is managed and operated by Jardine Matheson & Co Ltd – Pizza Hut Division (“Pizza Hut”).


1.2 The Membership Scheme includes the accumulation / retention of Points Rewards (“Points Rewards”) in the unit of “Points”.


1.3 Only customers who have completed the Membership Scheme registration process either via the Pizza Hut Hong Kong mobile application available from the App Store or Google Play Store (the “PH App”) or via the Pizza Hut website at www.pizzahut.com.hk (the “PH Website”) are eligible to become Pizza Card members and enjoy membership privileges (“Members”).


1.4 The Membership Scheme is open to individuals aged eighteen (18) or above. If you are twelve (12) years or older but under the age of eighteen (18) years and wish to become a Member, you will need your parent’s or legal guardian’s consent before completing the Membership Scheme registration.


1.5 Members are required to verify their Membership by showing their activated Pizza Card or the Members’ Profile page in the PH App (“Valid Pizza Card”).


1.6 Mis-use of the Membership Scheme, Points Rewards or its benefits may result in termination of Membership or withdrawal of privileges.


1.7 Pizza Hut reserves the right to amend the Membership Scheme structure, privileges and other features, including these Terms of Use, or to terminate Points Rewards at any time. Pizza Hut shall strive to notify Members of material changes; however, it is the responsibility of Members to keep themselves up-to-date with regard to these Terms of Use. Use of Points Rewards/Membership privileges by Members will be deemed as Members’ agreement to/acceptance of any changes to these Terms of Use. Pizza Hut will not be liable for loss or damage resulting thereof.


1.8 The Membership Scheme has two types of Membership status, Basic Membership Status (or Basic Member) and Gold Membership Status (or Gold Member). Basic Membership Status is permanent while the Gold Membership status is valid for 12 months up to the next quarter end date of the following year. The quarter end dates are 31 Jan, 30 Apr, 31 Jul and 31 Oct of each year. For example, Gold Membership Status granted on 15 Jun 2015 will expire on 31 Jul 2016.


1.9 Membership discount offers are not applicable to free offers, Points Rewards, Bank Combo, Trade Up Offers, Birthday Party, Gourmet Party Food, Kids Tours and purchase of paid coupons.


1.10 In case of disputes, Pizza Hut reserves the right of final decision on Membership and Points Rewards matters.

 

2. Membership Application/Registration 

2.1 Customers can apply to become a Basic Member by completing the application either via the PH App available for download from the App Store or Google Play Store or via the PH Website.


2.2 Upon successful application, customers will receive a SMS verification code sent to their designated mobile phone number. Customers are required to enter the code where indicated to complete the registration process for Basic Membership Status.


2.3 A Basic Member making a single purchase of HK$500/MOP500 or above will be upgraded automatically to Gold Membership Status 24 hours after the transaction day.


2.4 Once registration is completed, Pizza Hut will simultaneously create a permanent online account (“Online Account”) for each Member.


2.5 The eligibility for Membership is at the sole discretion of Pizza Hut.

 

3. Membership Privileges

3.1 Earning Points Rewards
a) In order to earn Points Rewards, Members must present/show Valid Pizza Card with any purchase.
b) For dine in or takeaway purchases, in order to earn points Members must present/ show Valid Pizza Card to our staff when requesting the bill.
c) For delivery orders made via the Pizza Hut telephone ordering hotline +852 233-0 0000 (the “PH Hotline”), in order to earn Points, Members must read to the operator their Pizza Card numbers with security code upon ordering and must present/show applicable Valid Pizza Card for verification purposes upon food delivery.
d) For delivery orders via the Member’s Online Account at the PH Website, in order to earn Points, Members must present/show Valid Pizza Card for verification purposes upon food delivery.
e) Members can earn one Point for every HK$5/MOP5 spent at Pizza Hut in Hong Kong (for dine in, takeaway, delivery or ordering via Online Account). Points will be calculated based on the billed total after discounts (if any) divided by 5 and excluding decimal point. For example: billed total of $134.7 divided by 5 equals 26.94 i.e. 26 points earned.
f) Points Rewards are valid for periods of 12 months from the Membership registration date until the next quarter end date. Quarter end dates are 31 Jan, 30 Apr, 31 Jul and 31 Oct each year. For example, the Points Rewards of a Member (whether Basic Member or Gold Member) registered on 15 Jun 2015 will expire on 31 Jul 2016 after which a new Points Rewards validity period will start and Points Rewards accumulated from 1 Aug 2016 will expire on 31 Jul 2017 and so on.
g) Accumulation and redemption of Points Rewards are valid only during the Points validity period and unredeemed Points cannot be carried forward and will expire. Members can check their Points Rewards balance through the PH Website or the PH App. Receipts of purchases will also show Points Rewards balance.
h) Members are responsible for keeping track of their Membership status and Points Rewards expiry dates. Points will be cleared automatically after their expiry date.. In case of disputes, the records held by Pizza Hut shall be treated as conclusive evidence of balance of Points Rewards in each Member’s account.
i) Points will not be awarded through food gratuity, corporate discounts, prizes, donations, gourmet party food (whether Dine in, Takeaway or Delivery), birthday party, Kids Tours or purchase of paid coupons.
j) It will take 24 hours after a transaction for Points Rewards to be processed and credited to Members’ accounts.
k) Points can only be earned once per transaction each time.
l) Points will be deducted from your Membership account if you returned products or services to Pizza Hut for a refund. Pizza Hut reserves the right to deduct Points from Membership accounts if Pizza Hut suspects that Points have been obtained via fraudulent or dishonest means.
m) There is currently no limit to the number of Points each member can accumulate and any change to this will be announced at the PH Website.


3.2 Redemption of Points Rewards
a) For orders at Pizza Hut restaurants/outlets: Members must present/ show Valid Pizza Card to our staff with any purchase in order to redeem Point Rewards.
b) For orders via the PH Hotline: Members must inform operator he/she wish to redeem Points Rewards and provide Membership number with security code for identity verification before ordering and present/show applicable Valid Pizza Card for verification purposes upon delivery.
c) For orders via Members Online Account at the PH Website: After login in, Members should choose item for redemption when making order and present/show applicable Valid Pizza Card for verification purposes upon delivery.
d) Points Rewards can be redeemed for Dine-in, Delivery or Takeaway purchases. Please visit http://www.pizzahut.com.hk/corp/en/pizzacard.html for details and offers. Changes to Points Rewards and offers will not be announced separately.
e) Points Rewards cannot be exchanged / redeemed in lieu of cash.
f) Points Rewards are not transferable (except in the PH App) and cannot be used in combination with or shared between other Pizza Card accounts the Member may have.
g) Redemption of Points Rewards is subject to the acceptance by Pizza Hut and to the availability of sufficient balance of Points. If there are insufficient Points, the redemption request will be refused.
h) Members should immediately report to Pizza Hut any unauthorized Points Rewards claims. We will decide at our discretion as to what action to take.


3.3 Queue Ticketing
a) The Queue Ticketing service provided in the PH App is only available for use by Members. There are two types of Queue Tickets available, Standard Ticket or Express Ticket. Members will be asked to present/show Valid Pizza Card for verification purposes.
b) Express Ticket is redeemable with Points Rewards only. If seat arrangement is successful through use of “Express Ticket”, Points will be deducted from the Member’s account. Pizza Hut reserves the right to amend or terminate this service/privilege at any time without prior notice.
c) Availability of the Queue Ticketing service may vary at different restaurants.
d) Each Member can obtain Queue Ticket(s) from a maximum of 2 restaurants at any one time.
e) After obtaining the Queue Ticket(s), Members can refresh the PH App to obtain real-time queuing status or to cancel the Queue Ticket(s).
f) When Queue Ticket number is being called, Member should show the Queue Ticket for seat arrangement. In case of disputes, Pizza Hut reserves the right of final decision on seat arrangement.
g) A new Queue Ticket is required if 5 Queue Ticket numbers or more beyond your Queue Ticket number have been called.
h) Pizza Hut reserves the right to suspend this service or any parts of it for repairs, maintenance, upgrades or any other work Pizza Hut deems appropriate without prior notice.
i) The Queue Ticketing notification service is activated by information you communicate to us. By clicking on “Get Ticket/ Express Ticket”, you agree and confirm that the Queue Ticketing notification can be sent to your mobile telephone number.
j) Pizza Hut do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any network problems, system failures, mobile telephone connection problems and/or interferences/blockages due to 3rd-party applications which may result in the Queue Ticketing service being affected or unavailable.


3.4 Youpon
a) To receive Youpon offer, Members must click the “Youpon” icon in the PH App and follow the directions provided.
b) A compatible mobile telephone or handheld device with internet access and Bluetooth connection is required in order to operate the Youpon service.
c) Each Member is limited to obtaining one Youpon offer per day.
d) Use of the Youpon service is subject all the terms and conditions set out herein and by using the Youpon service, you will be deemed to have understood and accepted all the said Terms and Conditions.
e) Pizza Hut’s server records of time and results shall be conclusive.
f) Pizza Hut do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any network problems, system failures, phone connection problems and/or blockages due to 3rd-party applications which may result in the Youpon service being affected or unavailable.


3.5 Pizza Hut e-Cash Coupon - General
a) The Pizza Hut e-Coupon (“e-Cash Coupon”) will be awarded into Pizza Card accounts. Members can redeem by showing/presenting Valid Pizza Card upon next purchase.
b) e-Cash Coupons will expire.
c) Valid for Dine-in, Takeaway, & Delivery
d) Valid at all Pizza Hut restaurants/outlets in Hong Kong and Macau.
e) For Dine-in or Takeaway order placed at Pizza Hut restaurants/outlets, please specify the use of the e-Cash Coupon and present Valid Pizza Card to staff when settling the bill. Note there will be 10% service charge for Dine-in orders.
f) For Takeaway & Delivery via Online Account, please specify the use of e-Cash Coupon when placing order and present/show Valid Pizza Card when settling the bill/upon delivery of order.
g) Not valid for any deposit payment.
h) Delivery surcharge of HK$15 will be levied on any order with net amount of under HK$90 (after deduction of the e-Cash Coupon). For delivery to Ma Wan: minimum spend – HK$300 and HK$50 delivery charge.
i) The free food offer for online ordering will be based on the net amount after deduction of the e-Cash Coupon.
j) Each e-Cash Coupon can only be used once. No amendment can be made once the use of the e-Cash Coupon is confirmed.
k) This offer is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
l) No Points Rewards will be earned for transactions where e-Cash Coupon is used.
m) "Pizza Hut Birthday e-Coupon” – Terms & Conditions:
1. Image is for reference only.
2. With the use of "Pizza Hut Birthday e-Coupon", customer can pay $50 less for purchase of $100
3. Applicable in Pizza Hut restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau
4. For Dine-in or Takeaway order placed at Pizza Hut restaurants/outlets, please specify the use of the e-Coupon, present the e-Coupon and valid Pizza Card to staff when placing order and settling bill. 10% service charge applies for Dine-in orders.
5. Not valid for any deposit payment, Gourmet Party Food, Birthday Party, Kid's Fun Tour and Paid Coupon purchase .
6. Limited delivery area. Delivery surcharge of $15 will be levied on any order with net amount of under $90 (after deduction of the e-Coupon). For delivery to Ma Wan: Minimum spend is $300 and additional $50 delivery change
7. Only one "Pizza Hut Birthday e-Coupon" is accepted in each transaction. Only accept coupon which is presented in Pizza Hut HK App, coupon in other means of presentation are not accepted.
8. Each e-Coupon can only be used once. No amendment can be made once the use of the e-Coupon is confirmed.
9. Member can only use one "Pizza Hut Birthday e-Coupon" in each month.
10. "Pizza Hut Birthday e-Coupon" is non-transferable
11. This coupon is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
12. Coupon cannot be used in conjunction with other offers, except New Promotion Discounted Combo / Pizza Card / JSA Card / Senior Citizen Card /Staff Card discount offer
13. No Points Rewards will be earned for transactions where e-Coupon is used.
14. For "Pizza Hut Birthday e-Coupon", the minimum purchase of $100 is based on the discounted amount, which does not include 10% service charge, tips and delivery charge.
15. Pizza Hut's record shall be conclusive. In case of disputes, Pizza Hut reserves the right of final decision on the use of the offer.  
16."Gold Member Pizza Hut Birthday e-Coupon"
Members will receive "Gold Member Pizza Hut Birthday e-Coupon" if they own gold membership status on 1st of their birthday month (9am). Example: For a Gold Member whose birthday is in February; he/she will receive a "Gold Member Pizza Hut Birthday e-Coupon" if he/she owns gold membership status on Feb 1 (9am); If this member's status is changed to "Gold" after Feb 1 (9am), then he/she will not be able to receive the "Gold Member Pizza Hut Birthday e-Coupon".
n) Pizza Hut’s record shall be conclusive. In case of disputes, Pizza Hut reserves the right of final decision on the use of the offer. 


3.6 e-Coupon for one Free Regular Hawaiian Pan Pizza (“Free e-Coupon”)
a) Valid for Dine-in only, from Monday to Sunday (except Public Holidays, Mother’s Day and eve, The Birthday of the Buddha and the day following, Father’s Day and eve, 24-25 & 31 December).
b) 10% service charge for Dine-in orders apply (includes the original price of the free offer) and the service charge incurred is not subject to the Membership discount offers.
c) Please specify the use of the Free e-Coupon and present Valid Pizza Card to staff when placing order.
d) Each Free e-Coupon can only be used once. No amendment can be made once the use of the Free e-Coupon is confirmed.
e) The Free e-Coupon is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
f) No Points Rewards will be earned for transactions where Free e-Coupon is used.
g) Pizza Hut’s record shall be conclusive. In case of disputes, Pizza Hut reserves the right of final decision on the use of the offer.


3.7 Discount Offer
a) Only Gold Members are entitled to discount offers.
b) Gold Members must present/show Valid Pizza Card with any purchase in order to enjoy discount offers.
c) Discount offers are not applicable to free offers, Points Rewards, Bank Combo, Trade Up Offers, Birthday Party, Gourmet Party Food, Kids Tours and purchase paid coupons.
d) For details and updates on discount offers, please visit www.pizzahut.com.hk/pizzacard.

 

4. Membership Status

4.1 Upgrade

Basic Membership status is permanent. Once Basic Members have accumulated spending of over HK$1,000/MOP1,000 within the Points validity period, Basic Members will be automatically upgraded to become Gold Members on the date after the Points expiry date and be entitled to discount offers (not applicable to free offers, Points Rewards, Bank Combo, Trade Up Offers, Birthday Party, Gourmet Party Food, Kids Tours and purchase of paid coupons) and to one coupon for a free Hawaiian Paradise Regular Pan Pizza (refer 3.6 above).  Points Rewards are valid for periods of 12 months from the Membership registration date until the next quarter end date of the following year. Quarter end dates are 31 Jan, 30 Apr, 31 Jul and 31 Oct each year.  For example, the Points Rewards registered on 15 Jun 2015 will expire on 31 Jul 2016 after which a new Points Rewards validity period will start and Points Rewards accumulated from 1 Aug 2016 will expire on 31 Jul 2017 and so on. Accumulation and redemption of Points are only acceptable during the Points validity period and unredeemed Points cannot be carried forward and will expire. 


4.2 Extension / Shifting

Gold Membership status is valid for 12 months from date of obtaining such status until the next quarter end date. Quarter end dates are 31 Jan, 30 Apr, 31 Jul and 31 Oct each year. For example, Gold Membership obtained on 15 Jun 2015 will expire on 31 Jul 2016. Gold Members who accumulate spending of over HK$1,000/MOP1,000 within the relevant Points validity period will enjoy automatic renewal of their Gold Membership Status for another 12 months from their Gold Membership expiry date until the next quarter end date. Gold Members who are unable to accumulate spending of over HK$1,000/MOP1,000 before the expiry of their Gold Membership status will be changed automatically to Basic Membership Status after the Gold Membership expiry date.

 

5. Malfunction / Loss of Pizza Card

5.1 In the event of lost Pizza Card, the Member/holder should report such lost to Customer Service Officer immediately via email (customer@jrghk.com). Once we receive your lost Pizza Card request, we will immediately suspend the relevant Pizza Card account. The Member/holder should print the Lost Card Report Confirmation E-mail (which we will sent to you within two months from receiving your Lost Pizza Card request or before the expiry date of the points, whichever is the earliest) and present the same at any Pizza Hut restaurant/outlet to arrange issue of a new Pizza Card. Please note HK$100/MOP100 will be charged for as administration cost for issue of the new Pizza Card. Once the new Pizza Card is issued, the relevant Pizza Card will be re-activated.


5.2 Pizza Hut will not issue to replace any Pizza Card malfunctioning due to deliberate damage or any other reasons.

 


6. Termination of Membership

6.1 Members can terminate their Membership at any time by giving written notice and returning their Pizza Card (if any) to Pizza Hut. All unredeemed Points will be cancelled/forfeited.


6.2 Any misconduct, fraud, misuse of points by any Member is found or failure to adhere to the Membership Scheme Terms of Use and/or any other related terms and conditions may result in immediate termination of Membership and cancellation of all Points Rewards with or without prior notice.

 

7. Privacy

Please refer to our Privacy Policy at http://www.pizzahut.com.hk/corp/en/policy.html regarding our use and collection of information from customers and/or Members.

 

8. Miscellaneous

8.1 Pizza Hut Hong Kong reserves the right to change any given information, services and resources available on this website, and the Terms of Use at any time. The Terms of Use will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong, and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong. If for any reason a court finds any provision or portion of the Terms of Use to be unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms of Use will continue in full force and effect. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms of Use by a party will be effective only if in writing and signed by a party.


8.2 Pizza Hut Hong Kong Management Limited shall have the right at any time and at its absolute discretion without giving any prior notice or reason to Members to terminate the operation of the Pizza Card membership.  Upon the termination of the operation of the Pizza Card membership, all rights and privileges of Members shall cease and all the Members shall, forthwith upon notification.  Also note that no claim or demand of whatsoever nature and howsoever shall arise by Members against Pizza Hut Hong Kong Management Limited in connection with such termination.


8.3 The English version of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail wherever there is any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions.
